Spring & Summer band dates & info
SHOW MUSIC, when it’s ready, will be found on Charms under HS Show Music. There will also be scores and recordings available. Solos will be open to anyone.
Handy reminders for everyone, but especially rookie students & parents
Two full weeks of Summer Band will be July 30th-August 3rd and August 6th-10th, with evening rehearsals on Monday, August 13th and Tuesday, August 14th. Full days the schedule is 2:00pm-10:00pm with music first and marching in the evening after the heat of the day. There will be a break for dinner from 5:30pm-6:30pm. The evening rehearsal times (August 13th & 14th) are 6:30-9:00pm with a Parent Performance on Tuesday starting at 8:00pm.
All Spring Training and Summer Band rehearsals are required. You must contact a director if you need to miss rehearsal. Students with unexcused absences from Spring Training and Summer Band will be automatically assigned as alternates and will not be a marching member of the band. Students who have to miss a large amount of Summer Band for an excused absence will likely be assigned as an alternate. All cases will be dealt with individually.
